Most recently a consultant with Medical Management Systems, Inc., in Wayzata, Minnesota, Harlan Kleiman now focuses his professional activities on creating a business to assist Medicare and Medicaid patients. Alongside his work as an entrepreneur, Harlan Kleiman enjoys cooking and has studied in Napa Valley, California, with Patricia Wells, a food writer and culinary instructor who offers an annual cooking course in Provence, France.

Each year since 1996, Patricia Wells and her husband have opened up their Provencal farmhouse to eager amateur chefs looking to advance their knowledge and skills in the kitchen. Over the five-day course, a small class of eight lucky students learns to execute excellent recipes using seasonal ingredients and both basic and advanced culinary techniques.

In addition to creating delicious dishes, the students learn about menu planning and helpful kitchen habits and get the opportunity to visit local markets, vineyards, and restaurants. All participants receive a personalized embroidered apron and recipe booklets to take home with them. More information about the course and about Wells’ other classes and offerings can be found at www.patriciawells.com.
